8 Innovative projects Implemented during the year
Publication date: 04.03.2026 10:55:38Throughout 2025, large-scale work in the field of innovative development was carried out at Uzbekcoal Joint-Stock Company. New technologies and advanced solutions were introduced in many of the Company’s branches, contributing to increased production efficiency, labor savings, and automation of work processes.
These activities are aimed at fulfilling the tasks of achieving the forecast indicators for 2023–2026 within the framework of projects for mastering the production of science-intensive and innovative products based on new developments and technologies by economic sector organizations, as defined in Appendix 5 of Presidential Resolution No. PQ-307 dated July 6, 2022, “On Organizational Measures for the Implementation of the Innovative Development Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022–2026.”
During the year, a total of 8 innovative projects were developed and effectively implemented in the branches.
The first project involved installing a GPS system on technological transport used in mining operations. This made it possible to monitor vehicle movement and accurately control fuel consumption. On August 27, a contract was signed with Duo Pro PE, and Teltonika GPS trackers were installed on Komatsu and BelAZ dump trucks. Test results showed that the difference between fuel consumption calculated via GPS and traditional waybills amounted to 0.6–0.2%, significantly improving efficiency.
The second project focused on managing technological dump trucks via a radio communication system. A contract was signed between Uzbekcoal and TBS Inform LLC, and 54 sets of Kirsun Mobil DMR TM840 (25W) VHF radio communication equipment were introduced to facilitate operations in open-pit mines. The system eliminates barriers between mechanics and drivers, optimizes workflow, and enhances safety.
The third project involved processing long rectangular excavator shafts using specialized technological equipment. The equipment was designed at the Mining Equipment Adjustment Plant and introduced into production. Previously, such work had been carried out at other enterprises, leading to additional time and resource costs.
The fourth project improved the process of installing rubber bushings for locomotive motor-axle bearings. Branch specialists enhanced the production process using braid molds, (MOP), (SAM) circular tools, and aluminum, magnesium, and copper alloys. The branch can now manufacture the necessary spare parts for locomotives in-house.
The fifth project introduced air purification units capable of fully capturing harmful gases emitted from water-heating boiler houses. On February 2, a contract was signed with Injener Texnolog Group LLC, and a scrubber with 95.5% efficiency was installed at the boiler house of the “Underground Coal Mining” branch. The device prevented the release of 13.23 tons of harmful gases into the atmosphere during heating using 285.57 tons of 2BZR coal products annually.
The sixth project implemented a solar water heating system based on renewable energy sources. A contract was signed with Sher Legal Profi LLC, and the system was introduced at the TTUSZ branch. Annual electricity consumption was reduced from 92,160 kWh to 43,200 kWh, yielding significant economic and environmental benefits.
The seventh project involved the modern ZEGA D490A drilling rig, enabling high-precision drilling in complex geological layers. Under a contract with The United Label LLC, the unit was delivered to the Angren coal mine and fully commissioned in June. In 2025, 26,738 meters of drilling were completed, significantly increasing production efficiency.
The eighth project introduced a solar-powered LED lighting system at the Angren coal mine. Under a contract with Alp Bahori LLC, 50 LED lamps were installed and put into permanent operation. From April to December, electricity savings amounted to 104.688 thousand kWh, generating substantial economic benefits.
The projects implemented during the year not only facilitated production processes and enhanced safety but also contributed to valuing human labor and improving work efficiency.
For the first time, the Company held the “Best Inventor and Innovator of the Year” competition, in which three branch employees won top places and were awarded monetary prizes.
The innovative projects and technological implementations of Uzbekcoal significantly contribute to branch development, efficient and safe production processes, rational resource use, and environmental protection.
