Foreign media is providing information about Uzbekistan's rich mineral resources. The Angren coal basin, located in the Tashkent region, has significant reserves of not only brown coal but also gray and white kaolin, quartz sands, limestone, and other construction materials.

The “Uzbekcoal” joint-stock company is actively working on the efficient extraction of these resources and their delivery to consumers. To technically re-equip the existing coal mines, excavators from Hitachi and Komatsu trucks were brought in from Japan.

In the May 2025 issue of the journal “Globus: Geology and Business,” published in the Russian Federation, journalist Diana Andeeva discusses the history of the Angren coal basin, the labor of miners, and their future plans in her article titled “Years of Achievements and Victories.”
