During the 2026/2027 heating season, a new procedure for supplying locally produced coal to households will be introduced.

Under the new mechanism, private-sector businesses will also participate in the supply of coal products to the population.

The new procedure is aimed at expanding consumers’ opportunities to choose coal products, their price and supplier, fostering a healthy competitive environment, and improving the quality of services provided.

This mechanism is being implemented pursuant to Resolution No. 418 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated July 30, 2026.

Under the new mechanism, families included in the social protection register will be eligible for compensation of UZS 300,000 for each ton of coal purchased, up to a maximum of UZS 600,000 per calendar year.

When and Where Will Coal Be Sold?

In 2026, JSC “Uzbekcoal” plans to supply 1.53 million tons of locally produced coal to meet household demand.

At present, work is underway to gradually distribute coal products among the regions and offer them for sale through exchange trading.

In particular, the first batches of locally produced coal offered through exchange trading to meet the needs of households in Andijan, Fergana and Namangan regions were purchased by private entrepreneurs. Work is currently underway to finalize contracts and deliver the coal to the respective regions.

Once the coal has been delivered to the relevant warehouses, its sale to households will be organized by entrepreneurs through the electronic platform mycoal.uz.

The sales start date, warehouse addresses, available coal volumes and other necessary information will be published openly on the mycoal.uz platform by region.

In this regard, households are advised to obtain information about coal sales only from official sources and through the mycoal.uz platform.

At present, work is continuing in the regions to compile lists of households and determine their coal requirements. Timely and complete collection of information on household demand is an important condition for the effective distribution of coal among the regions and its timely delivery to households.

JSC “Uzbekcoal” is taking the necessary measures to organize, in accordance with the established procedure, the sale of locally produced coal through exchange trading within the approved balance allocated for household needs. The company is also ensuring the timely loading of coal for entrepreneurs who have won the tenders and coordinating its delivery to the regions.

The company adheres to the principles of openness, transparency and timely communication throughout the process of supplying coal to households and will regularly inform the public about the implementation of the new procedure.
