Dear trade union activists, dear colleagues!

For the fifth year in a row, November 11 is widely celebrated in our country as a national holiday – Trade Unions Day of Uzbekistan. On the initiative of our respected President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on November 23, 2020, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Establishing the Day of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan” was adopted. This initiative is not accidental. It is a clear demonstration of attention to the rights and social interests of workers, ensuring the priority of labor dignity and social justice in our country.

This date is also celebrated at the Joint Stock Company “Uzbekcoal”. Our company is a leading enterprise in mining and supplying coal necessary for the population and industrial enterprises of the republic, and we highly value the labor of each miner. The miners of Angren and all employees are rightfully proud of this honorable work.

In recent years, the demand for energy resources has increased, and providing a portion of it as coal has become an urgent task. Therefore, the volumes of mining and delivery in our company have been growing year by year, and mines are being equipped with modern machinery and technologies. At the same time, the work of miners, as well as issues concerning their life, health, and well-being, always remain a central focus.

Within the framework of the collective agreement, the rights and responsibilities of the employer and employees are clearly defined. This document specifies labor contracts, employment guarantees, working and rest hours, wages and guaranteed payments, labor discipline and incentives, occupational safety, social insurance, cultural, educational, and sports activities, and additional benefits for women and youth. The employer constantly monitors compliance with all provisions.

Trade unions and their activists in our branches actively participate in increasing production performance and ensuring employees’ rights and interests. We express our gratitude to all activists for their dedicated efforts at work.
